Undefined Error

Error code: UNDEFINED

What This Means

Miris encountered an unexpected problem while processing your asset. We'd love to hear from you if you're seeing this — it helps us understand what's going wrong and improve the platform.

What To Do

Contact support — this is the best first step. When you reach out, including the following will help us investigate quickly:

  • Your asset name and the timestamp of the failed upload
  • Which tool you used to create the asset (e.g., Houdini, Maya, Blender, Omniverse)
  • A brief description of the asset — file size, whether it uses textures, animations, or multiple USD layers
  • Any warnings or errors you see when opening the file in your tool

Before reaching out, you may also want to check the Known Errors index to see if a more specific error applies to your situation.

For technical users: If you're comfortable with command-line tools, you can run usdchecker against your file before contacting support — it can surface structural issues that aren't always visible in a DCC viewport:

>

```bash
usdchecker yourfile.usd
```

>

Include the output in your support message if you find any warnings or errors.
